In his 50th year in the communications business, David McDonough has started a new advisory business for private clients, continuing to operate from Westminster.

Having founded and chaired Sanctuary Counsel since its launch in 2019, he has sold his interest to his partners but remains Chairman Emeritus and a consultant to the business of which he is very proud.

McDonough Advisory provides discreet reputational and communications advice to private clients: typically company Chairmen and Chairwomen, prominent philanthropists, Senior and Managing Partners of professional firms and successful entrepreneurs. All tend to be seeking to expand their wingspan, often including opting into public life, deepening their involvement in philanthropy and engaging with the academic world.
